VAD options on voice chat with Streaming Avatar
Darren Strydom
Please can you expose the VAD settings for the Open AI voice chat integration on your end. When initiating the chat it would be amazing to be able to set the options found here:
The problem is the avatar keeps interupting our users and it is creating a massive issue in out workflow.

Hi Darren, what about the VAD in particular are you looking to control? It is actually very finicky to configure.
Darren Strydom
Alec Lindsay hi Alec. It’s the eagerness and millisecond delays I’m after. The be able to give people the ability to ponder in their sentences without the avatar jumping in and responding. Think of it in a question answer scenario where someone is thinking about their response and they go quiet while gathering their thoughts

Darren Strydom +100 - We have exactly this issue too. There are two specific examples we've seen:
1 - Users are thinking through their answers to questions. They start, pause for a moment, but then the avatar interrupts
2 - Non-native English speakers - Who might take slightly longer to say what they are thinking, and pause more regularly to collect their thoughts.
This is a big issue for our conversational experience. We're doing some workarounds but it would be better to have a toggle where you can set the "pace" of the conversation. Fast, slow etc.

Toby Sinclair please upvote this so we can get it resolved. Out of curiosity, how are you working around this issue for now?
